Philip’s Continental Lounge has reopened about two blocks from its home of more than 70 years.

The new restaurant, which opened last month, is at 5810 Grove Ave.

Phil’s, as it is known, closed in June after its landlord declined to renew the lease. Kyle and Katy Measell, who have operated the restaurant since 2003, decided to relocate to the new space.

Taking over the former Phil’s space is The Continental Westhampton.

That restaurant is under construction and expected to open soon. The eatery is owned by Johnny Giavos, who operates several restaurants and bars in the area, including Kitchen 64 and 3 Monkeys.
